Kids Doing Crafts

Worried about what to do with the kids during service? Nervous that they won't stay quiet during church? No need to worry here! All of our volunteers have experience with children and have completed ALL state-required background checks. We strive to provide not only quality care during church but lessons that build character and lay a foundation of faith that can last a lifetime. Children are welcome to join us during the first part of the service and an announcement will be made when it is time for them to head downstairs for the children's program.

Common Questions

What should I wear?

Come as you are! Rochester Free Methodist Church is casual and friendly, so you’ll see anything from jeans and t-shirts to business casual. We want you to feel comfortable.

Where do I go when I arrive?

We have 2 main entrances, the white door at the front of the building, and the glass sliding doors off the parking lot. With both of these entrances, you will have to climb stairs to get to the sancturay. If you are handicapped we have handicapped parking and a ramp at the rear of the building, this entrance will take you directly into the narthex and sanctuary beyond.

Will I be asked to stand or introduce myself?

No, we won't put you on the spot! We want you to feel welcome to engage at your own pace. You can enjoy the worship and message without any pressure to speak or stand up.

What about my kids?

Kids have a safe, fun, and age-appropriate environment during the service. All our volunteers are background-checked and care about making church a place where kids feel loved and  love to be.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourself! If you have a Bible, we welcome you to bring it. We also have the verses displayed on the screen for everyone to follow along during the service, and pew Bibles are available as well. It's really a matter of preference!
